For as long as can I remember, I've drawn. Drawing is the method I use to "feel" my way around an object, to understand that object and to bring it into my own consciousness. As an illustrator, a lot of my work depends on knowing what objects look like, how they can be rendered in any position and from any angle. Drawing for me is the same as practising scales would be for a muscician. The drawings showcased are primarily sketches - I record as much information as I need and move on to seek other objects and environments...I have filled well over 100 sketchbooks with these recordings, which is to say that I've been engaged in this activity a long time...
